How do I create my first short link?
After signing up, click "New Link" in your dashboard, paste your long URL, optionally add a custom slug, and hit shorten. Your link is live instantly and ready to share.
Is Tinyzy free to use?
Yes — Tinyzy offers a generous free tier with up to 1,000 links and basic analytics. Paid plans unlock unlimited links, custom domains, advanced analytics, team collaboration and API access.
Can I edit a short link after creating it?
Yes. You can update the destination URL, title, and expiry settings at any time from your links dashboard. The short URL itself remains unchanged.
What analytics data is available?
You get click counts, unique visitors, geographic locations, device & browser breakdown, operating systems, referrer sources, and time-series charts. Pro plans include UTM parameter tracking and campaign reports.
How long is analytics data retained?
Free plans retain 30 days of data. Pro plans retain 1 year, and Business plans retain unlimited historical analytics.
Can I export my analytics?
Yes, Pro and Business plan users can export click data as CSV directly from the analytics dashboard.
How do I upgrade my plan?
Go to Dashboard → Billing → Upgrade Plan. Changes take effect immediately. You are only charged the prorated difference for the current billing period.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Stripe. Annual billing is available at a 20% discount.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from Dashboard → Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period.
How do I set up a custom domain?
Go to Dashboard → Domains, add your domain (e.g. go.yourbrand.com), then add the provided CNAME record in your DNS provider. Verification usually takes a few minutes.
Can I set a link to expire?
Yes. When creating or editing a link you can set an expiry date and time, or set a maximum click limit. Expired links redirect to a customisable page.
Are there rules for custom slugs?
Slugs can contain letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores, between 3 and 64 characters. A small set of reserved words (api, admin, dashboard) cannot be used.
How do I get an API key?
Go to Dashboard → Settings → API Keys and click Generate Key. Keep this key secret — it grants full access to your account via the API.
Is there a rate limit on the API?
Free plans are limited to 100 API requests per minute. Pro plans allow 1,000/min, and Business plans have custom limits. Rate limit headers are returned on every response.
Is my data secure?
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest with AES-256. We are SOC 2 Type II compliant and conduct annual third-party security audits.
Does Tinyzy scan links for malware?
Yes. All URLs are checked against Google Safe Browsing and our internal blocklist before shortening. Suspicious links are blocked and reported.
How do I enable two-factor authentication?
Go to Dashboard → Account → Security, then click Enable 2FA. We support authenticator apps (TOTP) and SMS as a fallback.
